The three pagodas, a firebird and fleeing dogs
Just in front of three pagodas in Dali/Yunnan/China stands a huge, funny statue of the gold firebird. According to local history, the bird was protecting people from dragons living in the mountains. Now it's just another crappy tourist attraction, yet still, even the bravest dogs flee...
